Their music has been a pivotal addition to television shows that run the gamut from CSI: Miami to MLB Network specials, and also film trailers such as Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close and Up In The Air. 〔() The American Dollar on IMDb〕 Partially due to their rising popularity, the band has been recognized by prominent music industry figures such as The Recording Academy and Tom Windish, describing what they do as “brilliant” and “…almost mathematical, or classical-based. It’s not just simple chord progressions on a guitar.”〔() Grammy.com Feature〕 In August of 2011 the band brought a copyright infringement lawsuit against Joel and Victoria Osteen and the Lakewood Church for using their music on DVD’s and television broadcasts without permission. U.S. Federal District Judge Keith Ellison concluded the Plaintiffs properly stated claims for infringement but dismissed the claims against the Osteens themselves with leave to amend certain pleading technicalities. After several failed appeal attempts by the Osteens and Lakewood Church to the 5th Circuit courts, the case was later settled on undisclosed terms.〔() Religion Clause〕〔() Law 360〕〔() Houston Chronicle〕〔() Legalzoom〕〔() The Christian Post〕〔() Houston Chronicle〕 == Discography ==
